38 Davis

6-Story Portland Oregon Office/Residential Space Features Exposed Timber and Glulam

Ankrom Moisan Architects designed 38 Davis in a quest to establish a new founding office that would directly reflect its sustainable values, creative culture and urban identity, and which would inspire, support and nurture the creativity of occupants living and working in the building.

The six-story, 130,000-square-foot, office/residential building boasts raw, honest materials and detailing, capitalizing on a historic method of construction design combined with modern day building codes and design sensibilities.

38 Davis features a timber frame structure with exposed glulam beams over a concrete podium, and other exposed wood, brick and concrete elements throughout that provide a distinct warehouse appeal in the open-layout office spaces, apartment units and community areas. The project is also on track to become the first LEED New Construction v4 building in the City of Portland.
